A deadly cold storm has trapped hundreds of people in the streets of frozen and left hundreds of thousands of households in the United States without electricity.
Over 3,700 flights scheduled for Thursday were canceled across the U.S. border due to the outbreak of the storm.
Half of those flights were canceled at the airport in Atlanta to attend, Hartsfield-Jackson.
Nearly half a million households and businesses were left without electricity, leading to the south-east of the United States, announces CBS television, adding that at least 11 people have died from the cold.
According to CNN, at least 10 people have died from cold.
President Barack Obama has declared a state of emergency in Georgia and South Carolina, in order to deploy federal resources to help people.
